Hey guys! I hope you are all having a great start to your week. This last month of summer can be painful for parents as the kids start getting bored right before school starts. So today I’m showing you an activity that you can share with your preschooler who’s driving you crazy at home (But we still love them, right? Of course).
- Wooden Tray
- Opposites Puzzle (Target $ section)
- Dollar Store plastic container
My daughter knows how to match things that are the same. But today I introduced her to something a bit different. I talked to her about things that were the opposite. She was very excited when I pulled out this tray with puzzle pieces.
We found these little puzzles at the Target dollar section a couple weeks ago. Each card contains two pieces with the opposite word and picture on it.
Examples: Open/Closed, Short/Tall, Slow/Fast, etc.
After she was done putting the pieces together, she placed the cards into the container.
Below are some books to read with your child to expand their knowledge on opposites:
I hope you’ve enjoyed this activity, and thanks for stopping by!
