Today, I’ll show you how to create the wavy ponytail pictured above.

[1]

To begin this hairstyle, start with some soft waves.  To achieve those waves, visit my previous post here on curling and setting your hair for a soft wave look that lasts all day.

After curling your hair and adding some volume (by teasing the crown area), separate your hair into two sections.  The top section (from ear to ear) can be secured with a clear elastic.

Next, secure the bottom section with another clear elastic, placing it directly below the top ponytail.

Then, take a small section of hair from the bottom ponytail and wrap it around both ponytails.  Secure it with a couple of bobby pins.

To achieve a fuller looking ponytail, spray your ponytails on their underside (you could do this by lifting the ponytail up, or hanging your head down) with a medium to firm hold hairspray.  Then, pick up small sections and spray those as well.

And there you have a very simple and elegant ponytail that would look beautiful on any bridesmaid.
