Welcome to Montessori Mondays!
Are you looking for some cheap, fun, and easy activities that support learning for your child?
You’ve come to the right place. Every week I’m sharing Montessori based activities that you can create and share with your children.

We decided to use the numbers in this clock as a teaching tool for counting.
This Melissa & Doug Shape Sorting Clock has been one of my daughter’s favorite toys since she learned to pick up objects with her little fingers.
The picture above is one way to demonstrate the meaning behind numbers. There is something significant to visually seeing the symbol and what it represents. The reason I choose duplos is because they can be stacked, and the colors coordinate, making it easier to identify which duplos go where.
For older children you could ask them to draw the number of shapes for each number. An example would be drawing four squares next to the number four. Another example, drawing three triangles next to the number three.
