Uppercase and Lowercase Matching Eggs

Welcome to Montessori Mondays!

Are you looking for some cheap, fun, and easy activities that support learning for your child?

You’ve come to the right place.  Every week I’m sharing  Montessori based activities that you can create and share with your children.

Check out my first post here for an explanation of why Montessori works.

Alphabet Eggs

-2 1/2 dozen egg carton

-Plastic Easter Eggs

-Post-it size paper

-Permanent Marker

Write an uppercase letter on the top half, and a lowercase letter on the bottom half with your permanent marker.

Once you’ve marked all the letters of the alphabet on each egg, open the egg and prepare your paper and permanent marker.

Write a word for both the lowercase and uppercase letter on separate sheets of paper.  Fold the paper and place it inside the egg.

Write each letter in the eggs carton like so.

Place the eggs in their proper place in the egg carton.

Eggs can be stored in an old quick oats container, or whatever you have in your house that will work.
