The Sparrow

Ever feel like God doesn’t see you?
In a sea of over 6 billion faces, how could he recognize yours?
Sometimes I don’t feel special or important to God, but that couldn’t be any further from the truth. The truth is that God doesn’t play favorites.  His love is the same for each one of us. And there’s nothing we can do to make him love us any more or any less than he already does.
Yes, his eye is on you.
Always.

When you are in that lonely place, his eye is on you, and his ears are waiting to hear your voice.
When you feel discouraged, your creator is gazing down at you, willing to bring you peace and hope if you would only ask.
I know this because I’ve been there.
I’ve struggled with depression, hopelessness, and anxiety.
And God has met me in the midst of those lonely times when there was nobody to turn to.
You are cherished by your heavenly Father, and you are loved.
His eye is on you little Sparrow.

Why should I feel discouraged
Why should the shadows come
Why should my heart feel lonely
And long for heaven and home
When Jesus is my portion
A constant friend is he
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know he watches over me

“Are not two little sparrows sold for a penny? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father’s leave (consent) and notice. But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, then; you are of more value than many sparrows.” – Matthew 10:29-31
